I seem to be learning how to do this fertility awareness thing pretty well, despite the wacky cycles. Round about ten days ago I noticed a temperature shift and thought "hmm... It's not Obvious, but I think that was the shift", and then lo and behold, today along came madame menstruation. Apparently I was pretty close (I know that 10 days is a short luteal phase, but my whole cycle is short, so that's not really any surprise).
In news of a slighty less TMI nature, I received two new books in the mail today. Slow Food Nation, by Carlo Petrini, and Slow Food Nation's Come to the Table. I'm excited to have more fodder for my local eating fire. More when I've cracked the spines.
In other news, I made my lazy, crampy, slightly flu-ish (standard for the first day of my cycle), tired self keep my dinner plans with a girlfriend tonight and it was a delight. Grungy pub food, mediocre beer, and hours of relationship talk. It's been ages since I've had that kind of girl talk and it was most satisfying.
